Hakoniwa Explorer Plus

Hakoniwa Explorer Plus is an isometric voxel art action RPG game developed by suxamethonium and published by PLAYISM. It features a whole range of cute monster girls and a certain degree of freedom in interacting with the world, the story and the NPCs. It was made available on Steam on June 6, 2018, and a Nintendo Switch version came out in 2020.

The game earned was developed using Hot Soup Processor programming language (HSP) and earned two awards from the 2015 and 2016 HSP Program Contest: “Active Gaming Media PLAYISM Award” and “Nico Nico Self-made Game Festival Award”.

Developer Comment

This is Suxa (suxamethonium), creator of Hakoniwa Explorer Plus.

Originally, this was never intended to be made into a game, but as I went along adding all sorts of new elements and stuff, at some point it kinda became the kind of game that lots of people could enjoy.

Then I somehow got a publisher attached, and now it seems the game has actually managed to make it out to market, which is unbelievable.
